There are new types of armour, at the moment I have only seen them bartered for at Skirmish Camps and at Dol Amroth.

The items have passive stats similar to LIs, and empty slots. The number of slots available seems to vary from 2 to 5, depending possibly on the level and quality of the piece. The empty slots can be filled with 'essences' which also drop randomly.

Slotting an essence is very simple, you right-click on the essence and a pop-up will ask you where you want to slot it. The stats are then added to the item in the first empty slot, and when the slots are all full you cannot overwrite any of the essences. It was mentioned in the dev ch...
